A Plot Guide (For Writers)
Rather you’re a plotter (and you love every detail before the writing begins) or you’re a discovery writer (who wants to learn along with the character) you need a guide to follow.
Every story is made up of parts that bring the theme, characters, and story-line together to make the reader feel satisfied in the end and see what journey and progress the character made. I posted a simple plot outline on here before, but if you need a little bit more…and want to learn how to add in some character arcs and themes then let me introduce you to another plot guide.
After reading writer books like Save the Cat Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody and Creating Character Arcs by K.M. Weiland, and other research from well-known writers I’ve put together a more in-depth plot that you can download below and even print off!
Now this is not a step-by-step plot to follow, but it is a guide so that you can keep everything you need for you story in mind as you work on building your world. And don’t forget to do your own research and experimenting to find out what works best for you!
I hope you enjoy!
