Welcome back to our interview collection! Come meet a real life young writer and author and hear about her story!
(Inertia) Hello! Welcome to the Feather Treasury, we’re so glad you’re here! Can you tell us your name and how you started your writing journey?
(Guest) My name is Anastasia Meservy. It started with The Hobbit. After I’d finished listening to that story, a spark ignited and I’ve been telling stories ever since. I love how words can make me feel and I’m honored to be able to write stories with emotion.
(Inertia) What genre(s) do you normally write in?
(Anastasia) I write Fantasy/Fiction with some sub genres in there as well.
(Inertia) Could you share with us about a favorite character of yours from your own writing? What do you hope readers will take away from this character?
(Anastasia) I think my favorite would have to be Skipper. He’s brave and kind and went through so much but kept going. I first connected to Skipper halfway through the 3rd book, He was as alone as I felt, and he helped me see that I wasn’t as alone as I thought. Skipper is a clone Commander in the army of the Galactic Senate.
(Inertia) What is something you wish someone would have told you before you started writing? A piece of advice to share with other young writers?
(Anastasia) Hmmm… that’s a hard one, I think it would be that I would get rejected and that it wouldn’t be easy, but it would be so worth it. If I’d had that knowledge from the start I would’ve fought harder for the stories I haven’t told yet.
(Inertia) Anastasia, could you share with us about an author that has inspired you?
(Anastasia) One of the Authors I look up to is J. R. R. Tolkien, his world and his stories are just so incredible. I wouldn’t be an author without Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
(Inertia) Do you have any published works you would like to share about?
(Anastasia) l do actually. I was published in an Anthology this summer. It’s on Amazon.
(Inertia) Thank you so much for joining us! Is there some place the readers of the Feather Treasury can get to know you better?
(Anastasia) I have an email list you can sign up for here:
