Homemade Bookmark Craft!

Have you ever found that every single bookmark in your house has gone missing? You don’t want to buy new ones and while those scraps of paper work they’re not that pretty…That’s why today I’m going to tell you how to make your own bookmarks! Just follow these easy instructions and soon you’ll be able to stick one in every book!

Supplies:

  • Paper. (cardstock or watercolor paper works best but whatever you have will do the trick!)

  • Decorating tools. (pens, pencils, crayons, glitter, stickers)

  • A pencil.

  • A laminating machine.

  • A ruler. (if desired)

  • Scissors.

Instructions:

  1. Start by plugging in your laminating machine so it can heat up! If you don’t have one that’s okay, you can still make bookmarks!

  2. Next take your piece of paper and, using your pencil, draw rectangles down the page (I find 2 by 6 inches is a good length but also after drawing a few lines you’ll find the size you like best!)

  3. Then color in your rectangles and decorate them using your supplies! (another fun thing to add are your favorite quotes and Bible Verses.) Don’t forget to do both sides of the paper!

  4. Finally cut out your decorated rectangles. Now you have brand new personalized bookmarks! You can also punch a hole in the tops and add string to make them even fancier!

  5. *If you have a laminator: Place them in the laminating sheets then send them though the laminator, wait until they cool and cut them out!

There you have it! Now you can make your own bookmarks whenever you want to. They also make amazing gifts for friends and family. Bring them to birthdays or slip them as surprises into a friend’s favorite book!
