Short and Sweet Encouragement (18)

Has life been a little hard lately? Are you feeling stressed, behind, cranky, or hungry? Then this is for you! And this is also for you that just needs a little extra boost to keep the energy up! Welcome to my encouraging Saturday posts hosted by Bible verses and worship songs!

The week is long so I’ll keep these short!

Today's verse is found in Romans. Chapter thirteen verse twelve.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” (NKJV)

What stands out to you the most about that verse?

This verse is talking about night and day. Not in the way we think of it as; the moon has gone down and the sun is coming up. But as in night represents the spiritual darkness, the evil, living in Sin. And the light represents spiritual lightness, Jesus, living in the Truth. Notice how this verse says to put on the armor of light? When you put on armor you are assuming someone is going to try to attack you. The darkness is going to try to attack you, so you must remember that you do have the armor of light on! Stand strong and fight back against it. Jesus is fighting for you.

Before you go, here’s a worship song I encourage you to check out!

Dead Man Walking by Jeremy Camp.

Come back next Saturday for more Short Sweet Encouragements!
